Starting this thread to kick-off the async conversation regarding how we want to support EIS data in BDF.

Update since March: the EIS columns from #4 shipped in ontology 1.3.0 (frequency, real/imaginary impedance, |Z|, phase) and the BioLogic .mpr parser in 0.2.0 reads them. We reviewed the PyBOP team’s synthetic EIS data against the ontology: every column maps to an existing term, and PyBOP is adopting BDF-native naming via PyProBE v3, so their files will need no translation. Convention questions (interleaved sweeps vs separate files, where the DC operating point and excitation amplitude live) are being settled with them now, most already have agreement.
